Sound Not Coming Out Of Headphones

Sound not working is one of the awful problems after the 2017 Windows 10 update. You may also encounter this: Windows 10 computer plays no sound after they unplug headphones from the jack port.

Instead the sound comes out of the speaker on the phone itself. I am suddenly not able to call and when I try to use the mic on the iPhone it doesn't work. I can't send voice messages and call. Even whilst recording a video no sound is recorded.
After the Windows 10 upgrade, you are able to hear sounds from the headphones as it should be. But when you unplug the device, there’s no sound playing from the internal speakers of your laptop or other speakers connected to the computer. Step 3. Value it from no to yes and then click OK.
Step 4. Close the dialog box and restart the PC to see if the no sound problem has been resolved.

Solution 4: Reinstall Audio/Sound Drivers

I have a problem with my surface pro 3. I've noticed that i'm sometimes unable to use my headphone jack. The surface recognizes that there is something in the headphone jack, but it doesnt want to play sound through it. Spotify, youtube, system sounds, you name it. Other times, it will play through it. I've noticed that when i left click the lower right speaker icon, it plays through the speakers when both the headphones and the speakers appear. For example,
If I open up a youtube video without my headphones in first, the sound will come out of my speakers. When i put my headphones in, the popup when i leftclick on the speaker icon is this
In this case, there's two output options, and the youtube video does not transfer its sound to the headphone jack.
Now if i keep the headphones in, close that youtube tab, open up another tab and load another youtube video, it will then play through the headset, and the popup looks like this
Now after doing this, interestingly, if i take out the headphones, the youtube video will no longer play through the speakers. I have to close all youtube related tabs before i can open up a new youtube tab and be able to play through the surface speakers.
Any help on being able to smoothly transition speaker sound to the headphone jack and back? and forth?
